OK, both blogs are in transition again. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel, as I'm updating [Edocster] [E-Doc-S] to conform to the release of Blog This, which will detail correct method to blog for freelance writers who wish to subsist from AdSense revenue.

Areas to pay attention to as I shift things around are:

* How-to concerning linking to and writing expert articles.
* AdSense placement.
* How-often-do-you-blog (85 times a day). Kidding. I don't really know yet, but I plan to find out soon via learning-by-doing.

Concept for Edocster: Web 2.0 Freelance Writing is starting to surface, namely that it will describe various types of Web 2.0 Freelance Writing.

The intent will be to explain how the various techniques function, specifically to assist other writers and code writers (computer programmers) with their web content efforts.

For example, Edocster will include correct Web 2.0 Freelance Blogging how-to. And since a blog post is yet another example of an edocument, I include the Article Submission Web Site links at both blogs — E-Doc-S and Edocster.

Currently looking at ways in which Google is benchmarking its publishing model against Amazon's business plan. Google continues to competently replace the paper world with their various digital substitution methods. Heck, Google folk are so off-the-wall intelligent that they're even replacing old digital substitution methods with new digital substitution techniques; such as, their Google Blogger URLs have essentially replaced the cost associated with purchasing a web domain.

General thought process goes like this (from Chapter 3, "The New Freelance Math" in E-Doc-S):

The math equals a combination of freelance writing and traditional self-publishing.

* The windfall difference between the traditional self-publishing model and an automated edocument sales platform can be defined by stating that you normally must use a portion of your profits to reprint books — whereas, with edocuments — you do not.

* The big change in so far as freelance revenue — with reference to old freelance math — is that instead of receiving a one-time freelance fee — a few hundred dollars for the sale of a thousand-word article to a magazine, for example — the writer receives royalties.

The royalties-versus-fee marvel may be explained by noting that as an edocument publisher you fill in for or replace the following publishing roles, functions or printing supplies:

* Author.
* Cover designer; but only if you think you need a cover for your edocument.
* Content editor.
* Copy editor.
* Typesetter; computers and software accomplish this for you.
* Printer, paper, and ink; although there is nothing to print unless the reader opts to print something.
* Binder; the need for this is eliminated.
* Publisher; this is just a description of the entire process.
* Sales representative; this position is eliminated.
* Distributor; with assistance provided by your edocument file Web host.
* Warehouse and bookstore owner; figuratively, of course.
* Reviewer.
* Advertising agency.
* Bookkeeper.
* Secretary.

Re-organizing right margin like so ...

New main areas for blog right margin will be organized like this (I'm flexible, this is just recent thought process):

* The main Amazon eDoc graphic link stays top, so it's easy to find.
* Edocument "go-to-print" how-to blurbs will continue to expand.
* I'll start adding links to other Infopreneurs profiles; Stephanie Chandlers book compiles complete profiles, but I’ll just be linking for brevity’s sake — both are illustrative of success at selling information products.
* Most recent right margin addition will be links to article submission site, as I am discovering their back-link effect is extremely important for blog exposure (which in turn sells more books, I mean edocuments).
* Notable books covering edocument sales will continue to expand as I find more, and I will eventually convert the short right margin blurbs to full book reviews.

Mini review: From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur ...

I'm working with the paper copy of this book for the review. I bought it when it first came out in print specifically to confirm thought process because I was finishing up E-Doc-S (argh), although as previously noted, Wiley had published an earlier book (much earlier) covering "infopreneurism" (is that a word?) ...

... thus, if nothing else, I confirmed that the push for digital text sales is mostly definitely happening in slow motion.

From the back cover of Entrepreneur to Infopreneur, it notes that the book covers:

* Becoming an expert in your chosen field
* Developing valuable information products at little cost to you
* Building your e-commerce Web site
* Marketing your information products to customers
* Building a healthy, consistent cash flow

It's semantics, but I would have to say that our two books cover the same topics in different ways. The great thing about Stephanie Chandler's book is that it covers people are actually doing the things she talks about in the book.

Thus, I'm expanding E-Doc-S Blog right margin to cover some of the infopreneurs covered in Chandler's book ...

I'll take the original, paper copy E-Doc-S out of print soon. Amazon had mistakenly placed both editions on the same Amazon page. Contacted support and got that fixed. I wouldn’t say the paper copy is severely dated; the concepts remain the same, but if you need to buy a copy, go with the Kindle Edition.

I touched up the cover a bit for “E-Doc-S.” Looks much better now.

It looked OK in Digital Text Platform, and will show up at Amazon main web site in a day or so. But I’ll have to ask my bud in Seattle to buy the Kindle Edition to see if I’ve fixed that version yet (unless another writer wants to make a test purchase — I’ll do the same for your book — to check out cover design, or lack thereof). Just drop a comment at this blog if you’re interested …

Other interesting notes that I plan to talk about in the Amazon Associate Discussion group are that: 1) My Kindle browser works in Hungary, whereas I don’t think it did before; very cool, 2) Hyperlinks in Kindle Editions penned at Digital Text Platform (DTP) appear to link directly to their correct links. As in, I had been told that Amazon links contained in a Kindle Edition would take a reader to the default Amazon.com page (their main web site home page). However, there’s a DTP link in E-Doc-S and it took me straight to DTP, and … 3) I’m using the guidance found at this blog to tweak my Kindle Edition covers: http://www.cjs-easy-as-pie.com/2010/03/kindle-cover-format.html

OK, as promised I re-published Secure This: Treat Your Home Computer Like a Web Site (Edocster) and dropped the price to 99 cents.

For the present, I'm of the mind that edocuments should be sold for the approximate equivalent price of a book chapter.

I need to re-do both covers. E-Doc-S cover doesn't show up in Kindle, but I know how to fix it finally.

Ordered this Infopreneur book. Didn't know the concept went back that far (book was copyrighted in 1991; Wikipedia search indicates the term infopreneur was copyrighted in 1984).

Wow. They must have been snail-mailing printed pamphlets or something way back then.

OK, E-Doc-S: Hail the Freelance Renaissance second edition just showed up online. I bought the first copy (ha!) to check Kindle format and cover design.

Just acquired and inserted Amazon's ASIN into the Kindle Edition Word.doc. Not sure if it's necessary to immediately go back to print again to ensure the ASIN is in place within the book text. I think I'll wait to see if there are publishing glitches.

Next: CreateSpace for the paper copy.
